On Monday, 16 June 2025 we are staying for six nights and diving with Cebu Fun Divers at their stunning new Seaview Resort in Moalboal, the Philippines.
The resort is modern, clean and comfortable, with a great restaurant and bar, superb diveng facilities, and a beautiful large infinity swimming pool overlooking Moalboal Bay, the Tanon Straight, and Pescador Island. There is a private beach and Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas. The rooms have air conditioning, a fridge, mini bar, a kettle, shower, free toiletries, a safety deposit box and a desk.
Moalboal offers some of the easiest to access dive sites in the world, just a few metres from shore puts you over a near-vertical wall that stretches the length of the peninsula. There is something for all levels of divers here from gentle, shallow shore dives to technical diving to 60 metres plus. Moalboal is famous for its abundance of sea turtles, visiting whale sharks, and a seemingly endless shoal of sardines located only metres from the shore. There is a wide range of dive sites to suit everyone with incredible macro life, swim throughs, caverns, and offshore dive sites such as Sunken Island and Pescador Island. On our last dive at Pescador Island, we stopped counting the turtles when we reached 100!
For the non-diver, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy. Kawasan Falls are less than an hour from Moalboal. The waterfall here is recognised as one of the best in the Philippines, It has turquoise coloured water with beautiful refreshing, natural pools to swim in. You can also try canyoneering here if you are chasing an adrenaline adventure. There are hiking trails nearby, stunning beaches to visit, an archery centre, and stunning snorkelling opportunities on your doorstep. Snorkelling with the sardines is possible at any time of the day. There are also a few lively bars in the centre of Moalboal to enjoy a relaxing drink at after a day diving or exploring. There are plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy western cuisine or explore the local offerings.
